Prom Country Road Rally App
Prom Country Road Rally is a mobile application designed for promotional, entertainment and educational purposes. The app has been designed by Prom Country Regional Tourism Inc. (PCRT) to encourage people to get out and about in the Prom Country (South Gippsland) region of Victoria, Australia. We hope that this app will be a fun incentive for visitors (and locals) to spend time in the area and support the local economy.
Prom Country Road Rally has been developed with your privacy as a top priority. The app must detect your location in order to work out when you have arrived at the road rally destinations and to show your location on maps, but location data is kept on your device and not transmitted to us.
This app does not collect any personally identifiable information. In fact, the app's core functionality can even work offline. The only feature that requires an active network connection is the in-built interactive map.

Disclaimer & Useful Information
All destinations that must be visited in order to complete a road rally are publicly accessible locations, typically accessible 24/7. No payment is required to use this app or complete the road rally in real life.
This app may direct you to visit some semi-remote areas where mobile reception is limited, so we recommend that you plan ahead. The following items are recommended:
- Charged mobile phone
- Fuelled up vehicle
- Drinks and snacks
- Physical map or offline GPS device
- Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and/or raincoat depending on weather
Road rally destinations typically include locations in Prom Country towns, so there should be opportunities for some shopping along the way if desired. Destinations often have toilet facilities nearby, so there should be several opportunities to stop if needed. Such facilities may not be open at all times.
Please do not attempt to operate the Road Rally app while driving! We recommend having a navigator in charge of the app while a driver is in charge of the vehicle. But the app can also be enjoyed by a single driver, since parking is available at each destination and there is no need to hurry. Simply park your vehicle in a safe location, then check the app when required.
Sound effects may be heard in this app at various times. Please remember this and do not allow yourself to be startled if you hear a sound effect while driving.
Referring the the app's in-built map can be very useful when attempting to work out the clues to the app's destinations. Dedicated mapping apps, GPS devices or paper maps may also be helpful.
