If you're a person, who loves fresh food and locally grown produce, you can enjoy a new Community Farmers Market held on the 4th Saturday of each month.

The market is held at Community College Gippsland's Leongatha Campus in Howard Street and run from 8.30am to 1pm
The concept is for people to bring a basket and go home with enough produce to cook a beautiful meal or several meal. With a great ambiance, live music and a marquee for people to sit and enjoy a coffee and tasty food.

Directed by Louise Adkins- Hairspray is an American musical with music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman and a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, based on the 1988 John Waters film Hairspray.

The Annual Arts Prom Country , Art and Photography Show, is being held this year from 1st to 3rd September at Mesley Hall, cnr Ogilvy and Horn St, Leongatha. This highly successful show is in its 41st year and is organized by the Rotary Club of Leongatha.
The Show is on the same weekend as the popular Leongatha Daffodil festival, now in its 61st year, so it will be a major weekend for the region. On the Saturday there will also be a street market, entertainment and car display. Don’t miss these excellent family events.
The organizers are now accepting entries for this year’s show up until 11th August. Apart from the opportunity to display your work to an interested audience, the show has had a great record of buyers over its long history. The show attracts over 450 entries from artists and photographers from across Gippsland, Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate. New and established artists of all ages are welcome to enter and prizes totaling over $6000 which include awards for various mediums, photography, 3D (e.g. sculpture), junior sections and All Abilities section and are presented on opening night.

Art Show Chairman Harry Leggett has also said there will be a major raffle prize – a magnificent oil painting and previous winner of the show. The raffle and other money made over the event go towards many worthy local charities and services.

The Annual Arts Prom Country , Art and Photography Show, is being held this year from 1st to 3rd September at Mesley Hall, cnr Ogilvy and Horn St, Leongatha. This highly successful show is in its 41st year and is organized by the Rotary Club of Leongatha.
The Show is on the same weekend as the popular Leongatha Daffodil festival, now in its 61st year, so it will be a major weekend for the region. On the Saturday there will also be a street market, entertainment and car display. Don’t miss these excellent family events.
The organizers are now accepting entries for this year’s show up until 11th August. Apart from the opportunity to display your work to an interested audience, the show has had a great record of buyers over its long history. The show attracts over 450 entries from artists and photographers from across Gippsland, Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate. New and established artists of all ages are welcome to enter and prizes totaling over $6000 which include awards for various mediums, photography, 3D (e.g. sculpture), junior sections and All Abilities section and are presented on opening night.

Art Show Chairman Harry Leggett has also said there will be a major raffle prize – a magnificent oil painting and previous winner of the show. The raffle and other money made over the event go towards many worthy local charities and services.

This is the 41st year of the show and promises to be another outstanding success. It is being held on the 1, 2 and 3rd Sept at Mesley Hall, cnr Ogilvy and Horn St, Leongatha. The Daffodil Festival is on at the same time at The Memorial Hall, Michael Place, Leongatha. On the Saturday there is also a street festival in Bair St with lots of market stalls and entertainment.
The official opening is at Mesley Hall, 8pm on Friday 1st Sept. The cost is $20 per head which includes finger food and drinks (exhibitors are free)

The winter growing season produces a great range of vegetables that can be preserved in various ways. This class teaches you the basics of home fermentation where you make your owe Kimchi, Sauerkraut and fermented beets.

This will be followed by winter jam, marmalade and pickles. You will make Giardiniera pickles, Rhubarb jam and Lemon marmalade. Before you can make your preserves, together you will pick the fruit need from the Jacican vegetable garden, as well as fresh vegetables that will be used to make your lunch. Guests divide the day haul between them and take home their bounty.

This class is suitable for beginners as well as advanced cooks who wish to learn new skills and techniques. You will learn techniques that you can use to impress everyone with your creative cooking abilities.

While you cook, a light lunch, using produce from the garden and local supplies will be served. The class can be offered as a private class for groups of six guests, dependent on availability of seasonal produce.

The market is held at Community College Gippsland's Leongatha Campus in Howard Street and run from 8.30am to 1pm
The concept is for people to bring a basket and go home with enough produce to cook a beautiful meal or several meal. With a great ambiance, live music and a marquee for people to sit and enjoy a coffee and tasty food.
Come out and support the market. They are also seeking expressions of interest for potential stall holders.

If you're a person, who loves fresh food and locally grown produce, you can enjoy a new Community Farmers Market held on the 4th Saturday of each month.

The market is held at Community College Gippsland's Leongatha Campus in Howard Street and run from 8.30am to 1pm
The concept is for people to bring a basket and go home with enough produce to cook a beautiful meal or several meal. With a great ambiance, live music and a marquee for people to sit and enjoy a coffee and tasty food.
Come out and support the market. They are also seeking expressions of interest for potential stall holders.

FESTIVAL
There’s so much to love about Italy and the Mirboo North Italian Festa wants to share it all with you! Come and join the fun as Baromi Park and Mirboo North come alive with a festival celebrating all things Italian in a fantastic day of free entertainment for the whole family.

Delicious food stalls, drinks terrace, market stalls, music, singing, dancing, comedy, displays, cooking demonstrations, grape stomping, cars and competitions. For the kids there’s the Jumping Castle, inflatable slide, face painting and lots more.

Before the festivities begin, you may like to join us for a celebration of the Feast of St Paul, which commences with an open air mass in Baromi Park commencing at 10.30 am, followed by a traditional procession of the Statue through the park just as they do in many villages in Italy. All denominations and faiths welcome.
