Create your own craft bird whilst discovering the quirky behaviours of birds seen in Tidal River.

Discover some of the native plants of the Prom and make a sun dyed beach bag to take home.

Indigenous Cultural Walk - 1 Oct, 9:30am- 11am
Join a ranger to discover the rich source of food, medicine and materials used by Indigenous people at the Prom. Suitable for families, minimum age 6 years. 2km walk

Minibeast Discovery - 1 Oct, 1:30pm – 3pm
Discover the underwater world of Tidal River – using microscopes, examine the tiny creatures that make Tidal River their home.

Discovery Kids - 2 Oct, 11:30am – 12:15pm
Explore the plants and animals of the Prom with craft, stories and activities. Suitable for children aged 3-5 years

Which Roo are You? - 2 Oct, 4pm – 5:30pm
Ever wondered why the kangaroos at the Prom wear collars?
Join Biologist Charles Plaisir to learn about the latest research on Eastern Grey Kangaroos. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Activities are suitable for children aged 6+ Meet at the Prom Wildlife Walk.

Rockpool Ramble - 3 Oct, 8:30am – 10am and 4 Oct, 9am – 10:30am
Explore the Prom’s rockpools at low tide and discover the creatures that live on the edge of the sea. Meet at Picnic Bay carpark

Wildlife Detectives - 3 Oct, 2pm - 3:30pm
Become a bush detective and identify the animals that live in Tidal River from the evidence they leave behind.

Please note there is a limit of 2 Junior Ranger activities per child.
• Group numbers are limited, please book early and wear a sun hat, sunscreen and covered shoes to all activities.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult on all activities. Junior Ranger activities are for children aged 6-12 only.
• Activities may be rescheduled, changed or cancelled due to adverse weather or for emergency response.
