Penguins to the Prom Touring Route

Phillip Island — Wonthaggi — Cape Paterson — Inverloch Tarwin Lower Venus Bay Walkerville Fish Creek Waratah Bay Sandy Point Wilsons Promontory

Experience the world famous Penguin Parade and the attractions of Phillip Island, then follow the coastal route to one of Victoria's most loved national parks, Wilsons Promontory.

Phillip Island is one of Prom Country's nearest neighbours. A round trip between the two regions can easily be undertaken using the Penguins to Prom touring route.
From Phillip Island: (Route can be completed in reverse.): Take the B460 to Wonthaggi. Here the route takes a scenic detour along the C435 towards Cape Paterson and the start of the majestic Bunurong Coastal Drive. This unique stretch of coastal road provides views of Bass Strait and allows access to secluded beaches such as Shack Bay. The Eagles Nest look out, located mid-way along the Bunurong Drive is a popular stopping and photographic point.
At the coastal resort of Inverloch take the C442 towards Tarwin Lower. When you reach Tarwin Lower consider exploring the sweeping beaches of Venus Bay. The sandy coastline is popular with surfers, fisherman and swimmers.
Follow the Tarwin Lower - Walkerville Road until Walkerville, home of the historic Lime Kilns and nearby Cape Liptrap lighthouse
From Walkerville, follow the Fish Creek - Walkerville Road to Fish Creek. You will know you have arrived when you catch a glimpse of the giant mullet sitting atop the Fishy Pub.
From Fish Creek take a detour to Waratah Bay or Sandy Point or just follow the C444 into Wilsons Promontory National Park.
